Qualitative and Interpretive Methods

Qualitative research methods involve collecting and analyzing evidence that cannot be counted.  This includes opinions, stories, visual observations, and group communications.  All of these types of information require some form of interpretation from the researcher, whether in the recording of the information or in experiencing the phenomenon themselves.  Watch the following video for a more comprehensive introduction to qualitative and interpretive approaches.
